Publication Charges

Policy Statement

The journal follows a transparent and ethical publication fee policy. Article Processing Charges (APC) are applied only after the manuscript has been formally accepted following peer review. There are no submission or review fees.

APC Amount

  • Article Processing Charge (APC): PKR 5000 per accepted article
  • Charges apply to all article types unless otherwise stated.

What the APC Covers

The APC supports the sustainable operation of the journal and includes:

  • Editorial handling and administrative processing
  • Double-blind peer review management
  • Copyediting and formatting
  • Online publication and digital archiving
  • Website maintenance and journal operations

Payment Policy

  • APC is payable only after acceptance of the manuscript
  • Authors will receive an official acceptance letter and invoice
  • Payment is required before final publication

Mode of Payment

  • Online bank transfer / electronic payment
  • Bank details are shared privately with authors after acceptance
  • Proof of payment must be submitted to the editorial office

Waiver and Discount Policy (Optional)

  • APC waivers or partial discounts may be considered:
    • For authors from low-income regions
    • In special issues or invited papers
  • Requests must be made before payment and are subject to editorial approval

Citation Style

  • IRJOSS follows the APA (American Psychological Association) Style, 7th Edition for in-text citations and references.
  • Authors must ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of all citations.

In-Text Citations

  • Use author–date citation format.
  • Cite sources within the text immediately after the referenced idea.

Examples:

  • One author:
    • (Ali, 2022)
  • Two authors:
    • (Khan & Ahmed, 2021)
  • Three or more authors:
    • (Hussain et al., 2020)
  • Direct quotation:
    • (Malik, 2019, p. 45)

Reference List

  • The reference list must appear at the end of the manuscript.
  • Arrange references alphabetically by the surname of the first author.
  • Use hanging indentation.
  • Include DOI or URL where available.
  • All sources cited in-text must appear in the reference list and vice versa.

Citation Ethics:

  • Proper citation is mandatory to avoid plagiarism.
  • Authors must acknowledge all sources of ideas, data, and quotations.
  • Self-plagiarism and excessive self-citation are discouraged.

Responsibility of Authors

  • Authors are fully responsible for the correctness of citations and references.
  • Manuscripts with incomplete or incorrect citations may be returned for revision or rejected.
