Author and Reviewer Guidelines

The International Research Journal of Social Sciences (IRJOSS) has established comprehensive author and reviewer guidelines to maintain publication quality, consistency, and ethical integrity.

Author Guidelines

  1. Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
  2. All submissions must follow APA (7th Edition) referencing style.
  3. The total length of a full paper should range between 5,000–8,000 words, including references.
  4. Each submission must include:
    • Title page (with author details, ORCID ID, and corresponding author email)
    • Abstract (150–250 words)
    • Keywords (4–6)
    • Main text (Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion)
    • References
  5. Tables and figures must be numbered sequentially and clearly captioned.
  6. A Turnitin/iThenticate similarity report must accompany every submission.
  7. Manuscripts are accepted only through the Open Journal Systems (OJS)
  8. The Editorial Board reserves the right to make editorial or linguistic corrections without altering the content.

Reviewer Guidelines

  1. Reviewers must provide constructive, objective, and detailed feedback within 4–6 weeks.
  2. Confidentiality of manuscripts and reviewer identity must be strictly maintained.
  3. Reviews should focus on:
    • Originality and significance
    • Research design and methodology
    • Data analysis and results
    • Ethical compliance and academic contribution
    • Clarity, structure, and referencing
  4. Reviewers must disclose any conflict of interest before accepting a review invitation.
  5. Unethical reviewing practices may result in removal from the reviewer database.

Reviewer Recognition

  • Reviewers receive annual recognition certificates and acknowledgment on the journal’s website.
  • Outstanding reviewers may be invited to join the Editorial or Advisory Boards.
